The Zero Waste committee was established during the fall semester of 2017. We strive to raise awareness among students, faculty, and staff about the impacts of unnecessary waste. The committee will promote zero waste through recycling analyses, upcycling events, informational sessions, and other collaborative efforts our members brainstorm!
We recently launched our “Straws Suck” campaign to ban plastic straws on campus. Our first goal in this process is to get straws behind the counter as a request only item in the Market and other eateries on campus.
